A/N: Here a poem I wrote back in my mythology class in August 2011. I love mythology and of course it inspired me. Anyway, enjoy!

xXx

Shake the Earth
Let the Valkyries rain down
A war approaches

The sky rips open
In a flurry of
Loud window rattling
Harsh thunder and rumbles and
Frighteningly beautiful
Lightning bolts
The Thunder God
Is here

Things start to shift
Transform and disappear
Here one minute
And gone the next
It’s not insanity
The God of Mischief
Is here
Odin lets out
The cry and it starts

The war approaches

The Devil Comes Out Tonight

A/N: While trying to find a scene I had written for my novel, Sparks, I came across a poem I wrote back in June of 2011. So I typed it up and changed one line and here it is. Hope you enjoy!

xXx

Slice and shred
Hide away the fear
Pretend to be safe
For the devil comes out tonight

Lock the doors
And nail the windows shut
Turn on all the lights
So he has no shadows
To hunt in
Jump under the covers
Drag them over your head
And say your prayers

He’s here.

A hero only in death
Misjudged and betrayed
Love given and taken

Lost on his path
Till it’s ripped away from him
On a new path he wonders
Better and happier

But self-destruction is his middle name
And so he pushes away his love
And wonders back to his old path way

xXx
A/N: Okay, so this poem was inspired by a character. If you did not watch the season finale of Arrow do not read under the read more! Or if you have this post open, then don’t read any further!
