Note: This is the beginning of a series that myself and my friend JulieAnn started. It’s about a girl, Trixi who is a thief and finally gets caught. But she is a thief from a magic world and so she gets put under the care of Aleria, a magical shop owner whose shop is a go between our world and the various other worlds and realms.

The children stood in awe as a shower of rainbow sparkles fell from Aleria’s hands as she held her hands up above her head and separated them in an arch. The parents of the smaller children, stood back allowing their children to watch the little magic act while they murmured amongst themselves even as they too were awed by the act, not able to figure out how exactly Aleria was performing these magic tricks.
But whatever they were thinking was far from the truth as Aleria wasn’t playing tricks or hiding things up her flannel shirt sleeves but she was performing real magic.
